While killing all the AI players is fun, it would also be nice having the choice to cooperate with the AIl. Why have trade contracts been a part in all the old Anno parts when the AI does not make use of it at all? In 1404 they would occupy an island just to use only 20% of the land, not sell you anything from it and get mad when you build on it, while they also get mad at you when you occupied it first, saying annoying stuff like "I saw it first, it's mine", it would be better if you could sell your goods from the island to them. When there is no island for a specific resource left, I want to be able to say to a computer player "I give you x money for 1t of good y per z time." Trading has always been part of the older Anno games, but it never really seemed to be very useful, since they only produced what they needed and just sold you the leftovers.
